What it is

Rocket through the darkness of deep space with an onboard soundtrack synced to every drop and turn. Disneyland's version is widely considered the best Space Mountain in the world, smoother and more intense than Florida's. The classic version is running in fall 2026 (the Hyperspace Mountain overlay appears only for limited seasonal runs).

How to do it right

  • One of the top three Multi Pass picks in the park: book it as soon as you tap into the park, or rope-drop it
  • Unlike Florida's version, you ride side-by-side with a synced onboard soundtrack, it's a different (better) ride
  • Touring sites list a single rider line here on some days; ask the greeter cast member
  • Smooth enough for most coaster-nervous riders; the darkness is the thrill, not the forces
  • Waits collapse during Fantasmic! and the fireworks
