    Arrive at Opening

    Get there right at opening to claim chairs and hit Summit Plummet before the line builds. The park gets very crowded by midday.

    Do Summit Plummet First

    Summit Plummet has the longest waits. Hit it first thing, then work your way through other slides. Slush Gusher is a good second choice.

    Lockers essential for valuables. Small and large sizes available; prices vary. Rent near your chairs for convenience.

    Apply waterproof sunscreen frequently. Bring your own to save money. Reapply every 2 hours. Florida sun is intense.

    Take the Chair Lift

    The chairlift to the top of Mount Gushmore is a unique experience and saves climbing stairs (32-inch minimum; riders 48 inches and under need an adult). Great views and photo ops!

    Bring Your Own Food

    Disney's water parks generally allow you to bring your own food and nonalcoholic drinks (no glass or alcohol). Check current cooler and bag rules before you go. The park also has several counter-service spots.
