What it is

The enhanced motion vehicles make this one of the most thrilling and best-themed dark rides Disney has ever built, and it exists in the US only at Disneyland.

How to do it right

  • When it is running, it is one of the best uses of a Lightning Lane Multi Pass selection in the park
  • The queue itself is a masterpiece: if you do wait standby once, take time with the carvings and the interactive booby-trap gags along the way
  • It's genuinely rough and dark; skip it for kids who barely clear the 46-inch bar
  • Ride twice if you can, the dialogue and effects vary between vehicles
  • Touring sites list a single rider line here when it is operating, which can cut the wait sharply
