EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival 2026: Topiaries, Outdoor Kitchens, and Garden Rocks Strategy
The EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival runs through early June 2026 and is free with park admission. A complete guide to character topiaries, Outdoor Kitchens, Garden Rocks concerts, and the best strategy for a one-day visit.
The EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival runs through early June 2026 and is free with regular park admission. No upcharge, no separate reservation. Every character topiary, every Outdoor Kitchen booth, every Garden Rocks concert is included in the ticket you already have. If you are picking a park week between March and early June, this one belongs near the top of your list.

This guide covers what the festival actually is, how to plan a day around it, which Outdoor Kitchens are worth your $7 per plate, how Garden Rocks concerts really work, and the tips most guests miss until their second visit.
What the Festival Actually Is
Flower and Garden takes over the whole park, not one corner of it. You will see character topiaries at the front entrance, planted displays through World Celebration, and themed gardens at every World Showcase pavilion. Mickey and Minnie greet you as giant floral figures the moment you walk in. Buzz Lightyear, the Beast and Belle, Tinker Bell, Pascal, Woody and Bullseye, and Anna and Elsa are rendered as living topiary scattered through the park. The UK pavilion grows an English cottage garden with sweet peas and foxgloves. The Japan pavilion runs a bonsai exhibit in the Mitsukoshi store that is worth 15 minutes on its own.
The other half of the festival is the Outdoor Kitchens: 15 to 20 small food booths spread through World Showcase that mirror the Food and Wine setup. Portions are tasting-size, prices run $5 to $9 per plate, and you pay per item. Two adults usually spend $40 to $60 circling the park and trying six or seven things. You are grazing, not eating a meal.

Garden Rocks Concert Series
Every night of the festival, a classic-rock, country, or oldies act performs three concerts at the America Gardens Theatre in the American Adventure pavilion. Shows are typically at 5:30, 6:45, and 8:00 PM. Seating is free with standby, or you can reserve guaranteed seats by booking the Garden Rocks Dining Package at a participating EPCOT restaurant. The package covers a meal plus a priority seating voucher for that night's show.
The move most guests miss: standby is usually fine on weeknights if you line up 30 to 45 minutes ahead of showtime. Friday and Saturday shows fill up fast. If you have your heart set on a specific band on a Saturday, the dining package is the safer play. Past lineups have included Boyz II Men, 38 Special, Spin Doctors, Kansas, Little River Band, and Air Supply. The 2026 lineup is typically announced in early February on the Disney Parks Blog.
When to Go During the Day
Mornings are the move. The topiaries photograph best in early light, crowds are still concentrated at Frozen Ever After and Test Track, and the Outdoor Kitchens open around 11:00 AM, so you can work through topiary displays before food becomes a factor. If you are chasing photos, rope drop is worth the alarm. By noon on a Saturday, every main topiary has a line of people waiting to pose in front of it.
Afternoons work for grazing and concerts. The park warms up, crowds spread across both sides, and wait times at the big rides ease briefly after 2:00 PM on most weekdays. Build your Outdoor Kitchen crawl for the 2:00 to 5:00 PM window, then grab standby seating for the 5:30 Garden Rocks show if you are not on the dining package.
Best Outdoor Kitchen Bets
Lineups rotate year to year, but several booths are festival regulars and worth seeking out.
Fleur de Lys near France usually runs a boeuf bourguignon slider and a saumon en croute. Trowel and Trellis, the plant-forward booth near the International Gateway, has run Impossible meatballs and a jackfruit dish that surprise committed carnivores. Pineapple Promenade near China serves a Dole Whip topped with spiced rum that has become a festival signature. Northern Bloom near Canada is reliable for a maple-bourbon salmon. Magnolia Terrace near the American Adventure pavilion serves Southern barbecue. Brunchcot, when it is in the lineup, draws the longest lines for a reason.
Skip booths with 20-plus person lines unless you have tried the item before. Portions are too small to commit 25 minutes to something you might not love. Better to try three different things in that same window.
The Scavenger Hunt for Kids
Spike's Pollen Nation Exploration is the festival's kid activity. You buy a map and sticker pack for about $10 at any Festival merchandise location. Kids hunt for Spike the honeybee hidden at stations throughout the park, stick the matching sticker on the matching spot, and turn in the completed map for a small prize at the end. It takes an hour or two depending on how fast your kid moves. It keeps children ages 4 to 10 engaged while the adults linger at Outdoor Kitchen booths.

Merchandise and Collectibles
Flower and Garden drops exclusive merch each year: festival logo shirts, Spike the bee plush, tumblers with that year's art, pins, and gardening gear. The Festival Center holds most of the merchandise alongside seminars, gardening demos, and free sample tastings from guest chefs. If you want the year-specific items, buy them on your first visit. Popular sizes and the logo pin sell out by mid-May most years.
A Realistic Plan for One Festival Day
Rope drop EPCOT at 9:00 AM. Ride Frozen Ever After and Remy's Ratatouille Adventure while waits are short. Photograph the entrance topiaries around 10:00 AM while the light is still soft. Walk the Play Gardens or start the Pollen Nation scavenger hunt if you have kids. Begin the Outdoor Kitchen crawl around 11:30 AM from one end of World Showcase, working toward the other and spending about 20 minutes per booth. Break at 2:00 PM for a ride, a Festival Center seminar, or an air-conditioned reset at the Land pavilion.
Regroup at 5:00 PM for Garden Rocks. Catch the 5:30 or 6:45 show, grab a final Outdoor Kitchen stop on the way out, then ride Test Track or Spaceship Earth on your way to the front of the park.
That sequence hits every piece of the festival without wasting steps and gets you out of the park around 9:00 PM, tired in the right way.
Practical Tips
Wear sunscreen. Flower and Garden means midday sun with minimal tree cover in World Showcase. Bring a refillable water bottle. Water fountains are scattered throughout and free ice water is available at every quick service window.
Budget for Outdoor Kitchens separately from regular food costs. Most guests underestimate this line item by $30 to $50 per adult over the course of the day.
Book Garden Rocks Dining Packages 60 days out if you want a guaranteed weekend concert seat. The packages release the same day as regular dining reservations.
Download the My Disney Experience app. The festival map and booth menus live inside the app, and it is much faster than a paper guide for finding the booth you want.
If you are a DVC member and your home resort is on the EPCOT Skyliner line, plan a festival day with an early exit back for a mid-afternoon pool break, then return by 5:00 PM for Garden Rocks. That break is the difference between a great festival day and a punishing one.
